Sharing Fediverse resources is not enough, there are other types of resources that needs to be shared in order to build anything substantial.
In this context Zot used by Hubzilla (and Streams) is superior to ActivityPub - because the comparable capacity in ActivityPub is not yet developed and put to use.
Next, the Interplanetary File System (IPFS) is more suitable for file storage than both ActivityPub and Zot, with the added benefit that the IPFS may be used as a form of immutable storage. For the purposes of my project using the IFPS as immutable storage is vital. However, the IPFS is still underdeveloped as long as its Clustering technology is not yet production grade.
Nextcloud is also building its federation capacity, which is where we are starting today. I am more than happy to "federate" our Nextcloud instance and share "content". We are developing the process to use ChatGPT in a "validating" capacity so we can build academia-grade document templates "approved by the AI". This is going to authenticate our efforts, even if the results are somewhat lacking at first.
I also share VPS capacity as I maintain physical boxes in the OVH data center behind Proxy Manager. This can be used to install and test many applications.
So - sharing is not enough, you also need to OWN the intellectual capacity to implement and OWN the resources. This is one issue with Big Tech resources, where the software / service may change or disappear anytime, leaving you stranded. This cannot happen to what I call Residential Owner-operators, individuals who train themselves and pay their own expenses, to represent their own best interest, and do not depend on "service providers".
I am more than happy to discuss along these lines. I am a hands-on result-oriented guy, I do not like to chat about "theories" when I can just make them happen.
